The Conference Call Experts

MeetingZone was formed in 2002 by Steve Gandy and Tim Duffy, who collectively have over 50 years experience in telecoms, conferencing and collaboration technologies.

In 2008 Bryan Walkey joined MeetingZone to develop the North American market through the subsidiaries MeetingZone Inc and MeetingZone Canada Limited. In two short years a formidable team has been created to meet the needs of Global customers.

Here are some of the professionals you will meet.

Tim Duffy – Co Founder

Tim was founder of the European operations of PictureTel Corporation in 1991 which became the dominant videoconferencing supplier worldwide with over $100m of European revenues. In 1999 he moved to PictureTel’s Boston headquarters to lead the worldwide product business, which was later sold to Polycom, before setting up MeetingZone with Steve in 2002.

Steve Gandy – Co Founder

Steve is a veteran of the conference call industry, having established BT's conferencing business back in 1993, growing it from start-up to a $100m a year business in 5 years. In 1999 he founded Quip!, the UK's first internet based telecommunications service company which broke the mould with its fully automated billing and customer service before setting up MeetingZone with Tim in 2002.

Bryan Walkey - President North America

Bryan Walkey joined MeetingZone in 2008 to launch the North American division building on fifteen years experience in the conferencing industry. Bryan held a variety of senior positions at Frontier Communications and Global Crossing prior to this.

Martin Erasmus - IT Director

Martin is an industry acknowledged expert in telecoms and billing having worked in this area since 1983 for companies such as Unisys and Computer Sciences Corporation. Martin has been with MeetingZone from its inception and has been responsible for the implementation of the IT infrastructure and our unique state of the art billing system.

Jennifer Burdeney - Manager Customer Services

Jennifer brings 13 years conferencing experience to MeetingZone North America. She has worked previously at Premier Global Services, ACT and Global Crossing. She is responsible for service delivery and customer care in North America.

Omar Thomas - Regional Sales Manager

Omar Thomas has 14 years of B2B business experience. Prior to joining MeetingZone he was a top performer at InterCall and D&B. Omar is responsible for developing new business at MeetingZone Canada.
